// 01 — Wanted level

Push it, and the city pushes back.

Six rungs. Every one is legible and earned. Heat rises only for what somebody saw. Pick a level.

HEAT 0ClearDispatch

"All units, nothing to report. Traffic's moving on 7th."

Raised by
Nothing yet. Enjoy the city.
City response
Cops patrol. Traffic obeys the lights. Nobody cares about you.
Decay
Heat only rises for witnessed acts: a pedestrian, a driver, a cop, or someone filming on their phone.
Heat 5 held for 45 sDefense of Manhattan

A time-boxed federal emergency. Warden light tactical vehicles seal the bridge and the tunnel, soldiers hold the intersections around your block and actually use cover, a Kestrel attack helicopter gives close air support, and two Talon strike jets fly a combat air patrol over the Hudson and the East River. Civilians evacuate, traffic thins, store staff lock up.

When every player's heat has been at or below 2 for a minute, it stands down: soldiers mount up, checkpoints stay for the rest of the game day, and one Warden gets left behind near the last engagement. That's yours if you get there first.

Military vehicles never spawn at heat 0–4. If a session is mostly jets, we tuned it wrong.

// 02 — The island

One Manhattan. No loading screens.

A compressed, recognizable island. Central Park to the Battery without a cut, with everyone else who's online. Hover the pins.

// 06 — Dispatch

The city has plans of its own.

Scripted events fire every 15 to 25 minutes when the island is calm. Server admins can call them on demand.

Event

Rolling blackout

A district's windows, billboards and lamps go dark. Looters hit the storefronts. So can you.

Event

Lockdown

Checkpoints go up at the bridge and the tunnel. Getting off the island just got interesting.

Event · $5,000

VIP convoy

The Meridian payroll Bastion crosses the island with escorts. Stop it, press E, take the bag. Heat 4, instantly.

Online

Every street is shared.

  • Dedicated servers. One persistent Manhattan per shard, server-authoritative, delta snapshots at 20 Hz.
  • Proximity voice. Talk to whoever is next to you. Walls muffle it, corners bend it, a helicopter drowns it out. Faction radio for your crew.
  • PvP always on. Friendly fire on by default. Heat is per player, so your partner's mess is your problem only if you're standing in it.
  • Persistent you. Cash, weapons, outfit, reputation, hotel respawn and up to three garage cars survive restarts.
  • Jobs. Deliveries, repos and store runs from the Park-It board. A city with a schedule: commuters, shoppers, bar crowds.
  • Meridian Response. Join the contractor faction at the tower when you're clean. Soldiers treat you as friendly. The cops still don't.

// 08 — Closed playtest

Get on the island first.

Closed playtests run before the Fall 2026 launch. Enlist and you get the first drop-in codes and the dev log. Nothing else. One click to leave.

// 09 — Intel

Questions from the sidewalk.

When does it come out?

Fall 2026. Closed playtests run before that; enlisting above is how you get in.

What platforms?

PC and modern desktop browsers at launch. Consoles are being evaluated and are not promised. Phones are not supported for the first release.

Is the military stuff the whole game?

No. It's the top rung of a ladder you climb on purpose. Most sessions never see a Warden. When you do, it's loud, time-boxed, and leaves hardware on the street for whoever gets there first.

Is it the real Manhattan?

A compressed, recognizable one. The avenues, the Broadway diagonal, Times Square, Central Park, the FDR, the bridges, and a Financial District you can drive to without a loading screen. Landmarks are original silhouettes, not photogrammetry.

Is the trailer real gameplay?

No. It's a pre-alpha cinematic made to show the tone and the ladder. Everything in it is original: no real brands, agencies, or people.

Free or paid?

Pricing hasn't been announced. There will be no pay-to-win. Cash comes from what you do on the island.
